Skyline Drive 2007

Base Camp 2007

Our trip started out putting the tent up at night with the aid of the Jeep's headlights.  Once it was up we settled in for the night.  There were fire restrictions in the Manti-LaSalle's so we weren't even able to have a campfire.

Chillin' at camp

It was CJ's first time camping, and he handled it better than most of the adults.  I think he was the only one who didn't complain that we couldn't have a fire.

Pete's Hole 

Day 2 some of us took the Jeep out to Pete's Hole. A small lake on the east side of Skyline Drive.  The fish were jumping like crazy, and no one else was there.  I think we all wished we had fishing gear, but we had none, so we ended up skipping rocks for a half hour or so.

Riddley's Ridge

Day 3 we drove out to Riddley's Ridge.  The Lindsay's family has a special attachment to the Ridge since their family has run sheep out there for many years.  The road is now in great disrepair, but it makes for a much more enjoyable time in the Jeep.  There were too many who were going for just the Jeep so we had to take Lynn's Ford as well.
